Art inspires, transforms and empowers.
At Ada S. McKinley Community Services, artist Shane Anderson teamed up with a dedicated group of volunteers to bring a new mural to life inside the facility. Inspired by the organization’s garden and the spirit of growth it represents, the project was designed to reflect both the beauty of nature and the power of community. Over the course of the day, volunteers worked side by side with Shane to transform a blank wall into a vibrant, welcoming piece of art that now serves as a focal point within the space.
The mural incorporates uplifting and powerful words such as “Excellence,” “Innovation,” and “Empower,” woven into imagery that symbolizes progress, resilience, and unity. These elements were chosen to honor the mission of Ada S. McKinley and the positive impact it continues to make in the community. The finished piece not only celebrates creativity and collaboration, but also stands as a lasting reminder of the organization’s commitment to fostering opportunity, growth, and empowerment for all who walk through its doors.
