C.J. Ham - Walter Payton Nomination Award Gift
When the Minnesota Vikings announced that fullback C.J. Ham had been nominated for the second year in a row as their Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year nominee — recognizing his outstanding character, leadership, and community service — they wanted to do something extra meaningful to honor him.
Typically, when a Vikings player is nominated for this prestigious award, the team acknowledges the honor with a signed jersey to celebrate that first nomination. But because C.J. was selected two years straight — a rare and impressive testament to his sustained impact both on the field and in the community — the Vikings asked Shane to design something truly memorable: a custom painted helmet specifically crafted to reflect C.J.’s life, charitable work, and legacy as a Viking.
Shane was honored to be chosen for this project — creating more than just a design, but a heartfelt tribute to C.J.’s commitment to giving back, his leadership in the locker room, and the inspiration he brings to teammates and the community alike.
